To God Be the Glory and Praise


Thank your Lord for all that you have done, and continue to do for me, my family, friends and all those,who call upon your precious name, for help and guidance. I know that all would be lost without your love, mercy and your presence, in my /our lives. If  I get too distracted and caught up in this world's "noise," please direct me in the right path.  Guide me Father God, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so that I do not take your love and goodness for granted.
I know that from the moment that I open my eyes, to the time I lay my head down to sleep, it is all made possible because of  you, Lord.
Praise and Glory be unto the precious name of the Most High!
I am Grateful!

Back in the Light

It has been quite some time, since my last post. I have so missed  posting and sharing some uplifting thought, event and the like.
  "When it rains, it pours"...is a testament, to what Life in general, has been like during the lengthy and elapsed period  of deafening silence, on this page.

It has rained and it has poured.

Believe me, it has been like a roller coaster ride, with dipping  highs and lows..
The "pouring" aspect of it all, has been more like a deluge of stress, aggravation, anxiety, frustration, et cetera
Quite difficult to maintain a semblance of  "positive"  outlook , or muster up some  positive attitude.
Difficult, but not Impossible.
It's time to get back to the Light.

Getting back to the Light is more than just a statement. It is an active thought, a force that is capable of being achieved, when we channel our positive thoughts and energies into Positive Outcomes.
Our Heavenly Father, God, Jesus our Redeemer...the One True Light of the World...this is the Light that each and every one of us, should seek. It is always through our Father, our Lord and Redeemer, that all things are made possible, when we place our trust and confidence in him. Share the positive attributes of working with others,helping others along, their journey in this Life. We are all on the same journey, traveling the same highway of Life.
We are all on a journey, and when we are able to help each other, through it.... THAT in itself, becomes a loving and glorious example of Sharing Positive Light.
Glory to the Most High....Grace and Glory to our Heavenly Father and our Redeemer.

ATTITUDE

Attitude:
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes

Do Not ...

Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.

It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.
Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly.
Do not dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams is to be without hope; to be without hope is to be without purpose.
Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

Just a Mom

A woman, renewing her driver’s license at the County Clerk ’s office was asked by the woman recorder to state her occupation. She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself. ”What I mean is,” explained the recorder, “do you have a job or are you just a……?”
“Of course I have a job,” snapped the woman. ”I’m a Mom.”
“We don’t list ‘Mom’ as an occupation, ‘housewife’ covers it,” said the recorder emphatically.
I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself in the same situation, this time at our own Town Hall.
The Clerk was obviously a career woman, poised, efficient and possessed of a high sounding title like, “Official Interrogator” or “Town Registrar.”
”What is your occupation?” she probed. What made me say it? I do not know. The words simply popped out.
“I’m a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations.”
The clerk paused, ball-point pen frozen in midair and looked up as though she had not heard right. I repeated the title slowly emphasizing the most significant words.
Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written, in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.
”Might I ask,” said the clerk with new interest, “just what you do in your field?”
Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply, “I have a continuing program of research, (what mother doesn’t) in the laboratory and in the field, (normally I would have said indoors and out). I’m working for my Masters, (first the Lord and then the whole family) and already have four credits (all daughters). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities, (any mother care to disagree?) and I often work 14 hours a day, (24 is more like it).
But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers and the rewards are more of a satisfaction rather than just money.”
There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk’s voice as she completed the form, stood up and personally ushered me to the door.
As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous new career, I was greeted by my lab assistants — ages 13, 7, and 3. Upstairs I could hear our new experimental model, (a 6 month old baby) in the child development program, testing out a new vocal pattern.
I felt I had scored a beat on bureaucracy! And I had gone on the official records as someone more distinguished and indispensable to mankind than “just another Mom.” Motherhood!

Keep God First

There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old shotgun and three bullets. So, he decided that he would go out and kill something for dinner.
As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit and he shot at the rabbit and missed it. Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel and missed it. As he went further, he saw a wild turkey in the tree and he had only one bullet, but a voice came to him and said "pray first, aim high and stay focused ."
However, at the same time, he saw a deer which was a better kill. He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattle snake between his legs about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattle snake.
Still, the voice said again to him, "I said 'pray, aim high and stay focused."
So, the man decided to listen to the voice. He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree and shot the wild turkey. The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer. The handle fell off the gun and hit the snake in the head and killed it.
And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond. When he stood to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer and a turkey to eat.
The snake (Satan) was dead simply because the man listened to God.
Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God. Pass this on in order that someone else might be blessed.
Never let others discourage you concerning your past. The past is exactly that - " the past." Live every day one day at a time. And remember that only God knows our future and that he will not put you through any more than you can bear.
Do not look to man for your blessings but look to the Lord. He can open doors for you that only He is able to do. Doors that you will not slip through but doors that only He has prepared in advance for you in your favor. Wait, and be still, be patient: keep God first and everything else will follow
